Meet Ines

Ines Cesar (she/her) is a Registered Social worker with a Master's of Social Work, specializing in Clinical Social Work. Ines has been supporting people's mental health in Edmonton for over twenty years. Ines is a settler on Treaty 6 Territory and has ancestral roots in Africa and Europe, enabling her to speak six languages, including French, German, and Swahili.

She is passionate about assisting individuals through life's challenges and offers therapy services to adults and adolescents (over 16 years old). Ines has a rich background of working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and her professional experience spans across various sectors, including education, healthcare, and immigration.

In her collaborative approach, Ines works with her clients on a wide range of issues, such as relationships, parenting, immigration, grief and loss, trauma, divorce, domestic violence, and depression. She creates a safe and supportive environment by utilizing a strength-based approach that respects each individual's resilience and cultural heritage.

Ines' practice is rooted in feminist, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive principles. She has received training in several therapeutic modalities, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, CBT, DBT, Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness, and EMDR.
