Hello There!

Melody Cesar, BA, MSW, RSW

I specialize in helping adults, couples, and families to heal from trauma and learn how to reconnect with the people they love.
EMDR, Somatic Therapy/Experiencing Therapist

About Me

Hello, I'm Melody, and I reside and practice in Treaty 6 Territory, specifically Edmonton. Although I've called this place home all my life, my roots extend to Rwanda, Tanzania, and Germany.

I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and am currently fulfilling the requirements for a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) designation.

In my role as a therapist, I provide assessments and therapeutic interventions akin to psychologists and psychotherapists. My primary focus is on facilitating healing from the impacts of trauma and assisting individuals in cultivating the relationships they desire in their lives.

Guided by a trauma-informed approach, my practice is rooted in an Intersectional Feminist, Anti-Racist, and Anti-Oppressive framework.

My mission is to create a space where individuals not only find solace but also feel truly seen and validated. Sessions are infused with values such as empathy, authenticity, and growth, accompanying clients on a transformative journey towards emotional well-being.

Beyond work, I find joy in playing with my dog, Louie, exploring new restaurants, and savoring the long summer days that Edmonton has to offer.
